It didn't take long for Carlos Vela to make his mark on MLS and Los Angeles FC.

The Mexican international joined the league in January 2018 and was already captaining the MLS All-Star squad by July. He received the captain's armband for LAFC that same year and was named to the 2018 MLS Best XI.

However, it was in 2019 that Vela became a North American superstar. He scored an MLS-record 34 goals as LAFC dominated the standings and set league records in the process. Vela was the first Mexican to be named MLS MVP, and he accomplished all that after turning 30.

Vela's scored an insane 67 goals in 97 appearances for LAFC. When the game's on the line, the ball will find his foot.
