A Bishop Sycamore documentary is coming to HBO next year.

HBO Sports announced it has acquired the television and streaming rights to a feature documentary chronicling the Bishop Sycamore high school football scandal that made headlines in August. Former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan is among the producers.

The untitled film will explore the story behind the Columbus, Ohio-based Bishop Sycamore Centurions and their former head coach Roy Johnson, who the school fired in the wake of the scandal. HBO says it has been given exclusive access to Johnson.

Questions were raised about the legitimacy of Bishop Sycamore after it was defeated 58-0 by IMG Academy in a game televised nationally on ESPN. An NBC4 investigation revealed there was no school building or curriculum associated with Bishop Sycamore, despite the state of Ohio identifying it as a "non-charter, non-tax supported school."
