Report: Harris to miss several games due to health and safety protocols
Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris is expected to miss several games after entering the NBA's health and safety protocols, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Harris has provided steady offensive production in the absence of Ben Simmons, averaging 19.8 points, 9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists through six appearances. If he tested positive for COVID-19, Harris could miss 10 days of action and potentially six games through Nov. 11.
The veteran wing was already ruled out for Monday's contest against Portland. Fellow 76ers star Joel Embiid will also miss Philly's showdown against the Trail Blazers to rest his sore knee.
Without Harris and Embiid available, the shorthanded 76ers still managed to defeat the Trail Blazers and improve to 5-2 thanks in large part to Seth Curry's 23 points.
