LaVar: Hornets should call LiAngelo from G League, play him with LaMelo
LaVar Ball thinks the Charlotte Hornets are making a mistake by not pairing his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo together.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, LaVar said the Hornets "don't understand what they got" in LiAngelo and should bring him up from their G League affiliate. If that doesn't happen, he has another destination in mind for his middle son.
"I already said the Lakers, but then they got rid of Zo. Then I said Charlotte. Y'all got him right in your back door, bring him in, let him play with Melo," LaVar said. "Now, I got a new destination: L.A. Clippers, here we go."
LiAngelo played for the Hornets' Summer League team before entering the 2021 G League draft, where he was taken 14th overall by the Greensboro Swarm. The 23-year-old is averaging 9.3 points in four games with the Swarm this season while shooting 57.7% from the field.
