Sharks' Rudolfs Balcers: Placed on injured reserve

Balcers (lower body) was designated for injured reserve Tuesday.

Analysis:

Even with a retroactive placement on IR, Balcers will be out at least the next two contests due to his lower-body issue. Even prior to getting hurt, the 24-year-old winger was mired in a 13-game goal drought during which he put just 19 shots on target.
