T.O. pitches Bucs to sign him as Brown's replacement
Terrell Owens believes he's ready to make a comeback at 48.
On the latest episode of Fubo Sports' "Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. and Hatch," the former NFL wide receiver said the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should "absolutely" bring him in for a workout after cutting ties with Antonio Brown.
"If you think about where they are in the season, they don't need me for a 16-game season ... three to four games at the max," Owens said. "So, yes, I feel like I can go in, I can contribute at a high level, and can be productive."
Owens, who last played in the NFL during the 2010 campaign, added that he was recently in Tampa and spent two days training at the University of South Florida.
"I know that I can play the game," Owens said. "Would I love the opportunity to be on that list, whether it's short or long, to show these guys that I can come in and contribute? The body of work speaks for itself."
Brown made headlines Sunday after walking off the field midway through the third quarter of the Bucs' 28-24 win over the New York Jets. Tampa has yet to release Brown, but head coach Bruce Arians announced that he's no longer a member of the organization.
