Mark Wahlberg wants to play Belichick in Brady biopic
Actor and New England Patriots fan Mark Wahlberg already has a role picked out for himself should Hollywood decide to make a Tom Brady biopic.
In an interview with Variety's Marc Malkin, Wahlberg said he'd like to play Patriots head coach Bill Belichick in a movie about Brady.
"I could play Bill Belichick. Oh, I would love to play Bill Belichick," Wahlberg said. "I mean, I'm working on the press conferences as we speak. The next five interviews that I do, I'm gonna be Bill Belichick. 'On to Cincinnati,' a yes or a no answer, and I'm gonna annoy a lot of people."
Wahlberg also touched on Brady's retirement and the impact he had on the NFL.
"He went 22 years, won seven championships, and people just assumed that he would go for another five years," Wahlberg said. "That's the amazing thing. He really did something that nobody else did. I certainly appreciate everything he did. And I know everybody else in New England and in Tampa.
"I mean, he changed the face of New England football, Tampa, and the NFL as a whole. I just wish him good luck in everything else that he decides to do."
