Super Bowl LVI player prop best bets: California Love

After nearly two weeks of rhetoric and over a dozen articles breaking down the various Super Bowl LVI markets, it's time for what we've been building to - profitably - since we started putting our three prop bets together for Thursday Night Football.

Speaking of iconic trios, after showing love to Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige in the conference championship round, we're left with the core three hip-hop headliners of Sunday's halftime show. If Dr. Dre is our reliable yardage prop winner and Snoop Dogg is guaranteed to score every time he appears, then Eminem has to be our long shot, based on his unlikely ascent from "8 Mile" to SoFi Stadium. As Snoop says in "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang," these are "Unfadable, so please don't try to fade this."

"The $20 Sack Pyramid"

I don't think Dre and company were referring to the Rams' front seven and the much-maligned Bengals' offensive line in the middle of the legendary album "The Chronic," but the possibility for sacks provides the extensive base for the game's handicap. It's just a matter of which angle you're willing to attack.

You can "Lose Yourself" in the prop menu, but I think the Bengals' plan to manage this mismatch will be to have Joe Burrow throw quickly to their group of big-bodied targets. Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, and C.J. Uzomah can consistently complete Burrow's throws, but unless there's a play that sees the Cincinnati protection hold up in conjunction with a Rams breakdown in the secondary, it'll be difficult for the Bengals' pass offense to create a big gain.

A TD that's definitely going to happen

It's not quite the lock that "California Love" being performed at halftime is, but Odell Beckham Jr.'s journey to Los Angeles isn't going to end with him being ignored in the end zone. Shut out in the previous two games, expect Matthew Stafford to look Beckham's way at least twice. In "The Next Episode" of a dramatic career that's seen Beckham in the spotlight at every turn - and at better than even money to score a touchdown - I'll bet he won't "Drop It Like It's Hot."

A TD that probably won't happen ... but maybe it does

Rams rookie wide receiver Ben Skowronek was "Young, Wild & Free" when Stafford found him wide open in the end zone in the NFC Championship Game. Sure, the Northwestern product (by way of Notre Dame) dropped the ball, but with Tyler Higbee ruled out, Skowronek provides a big target in the red zone and may get a second chance to get lost behind a defense. At a big payout, let's try Skowronek to "Shake That" drop against the 49ers. If he does, it'll be "Up Jump tha Boogie" at the Super Bowl party.
