LeBron's 'Space Jam' wins multiple Razzie awards
LeBron James and "Space Jam: A New Legacy" were big "winners" at the 42nd annual Golden Raspberry Awards on Saturday.
The Los Angeles Lakers star took home the awards for Worst Actor and Worst On-Screen Couple at the Razzies, which honored the worst in film from 2021. The "Space Jam" sequel also received the Worst Remake/Rip-Off or Sequel award.
Released in July 2021, "Space Jam: A New Legacy" stars James as a fictional version of himself who enlists help from the Looney Tunes characters to win a basketball game after an artificial intelligence character kidnaps his son. The film had a $150-million budget and grossed $162 million at the box office.
The original "Space Jam," released in 1996, earned $250 million worldwide to become the highest-grossing basketball film of all time.
