Atlanta Hawks forward John Collins will attempt to play in Game 1 against the Miami Heat on Sunday, sources tell The Athletic's Shams Charania and Chris Kirschner.

The 24-year-old has been out since March 11 with a foot strain and finger sprain. He's officially listed as questionable on the Hawks' injury report.

Collins averaged 16.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1 block in 54 regular-season appearances before being sidelined. His return will provide a major boost to Atlanta's frontline, especially with starting center Clint Capela unavailable to begin the series with a knee injury.

Atlanta enters the postseason as the Eastern Conference's No. 8 seed after eliminating the Cleveland Cavaliers from the play-in tournament on Friday.
