Chicago Bears

Grade: C-

Gordon and Brisker are nice additions who will help reshape the back end of the Bears' defense. But much like the rest of Chicago's offseason, it's tough to understand the strategy here. Improving their offensive skill position talent was going to be important for Justin Fields' chances of taking a step forward in his development. After twice passing on some talented pass-catchers in the second round, they used their third-round pick on Jones, a special teams player who turns 25 before his rookie season. The Bears could - and should - have done better with this class.

Detroit Lions

Grade: A-

Don't look now, but the Lions are on the rise. After having perhaps the top player in this draft fall into their laps at No. 2, they weren't content to sit around and see who would fall to them at No. 32. Trading up 20 spots to get Williams was a stunning move that we just have to respect. The Alabama star may not play right away as he's working his way back from a torn ACL suffered in January, but this is an outstanding long-term play for Detroit to add some rare speed. And don't sleep on Joseph, who should be an instant-impact starter at safety. Overall, the Lions had a great week.

Green Bay Packers

Grade: B-

The idea, as always, is to draft good players. And the Packers certainly did that in the first round, adding a pair of Georgia standouts to make an already strong defense that much better. But what's the plan on offense? Watson is a home run swing that could just as easily result in a strikeout, and the Packers gave up two second-round picks to go up and get him early on Day 2. A talented group overall, to be sure, but Green Bay has to lose some points for the missed opportunities at receiver.

Minnesota Vikings

Grade: B-

This was some great work from rookie general manager Kewsi Adofo-Mensah. Cine is an instant-impact starter at safety from Day 1. Booth, who likely would have been drafted in the first round were it not for an injury, is a talented cover man who could easily be Minnesota's top corner this fall. Ingram is an immediate starter at a position of need, and Asamoah is a solid value in the third round. This class would have gotten more buzz if they added a long-term running mate for Justin Jefferson at receiver, but that wasn't necessarily a must this year with Adam Thielen still on the roster.
