Lakers' Bazemore defends LeBron: 'What else do you want him to do?'
Kent Bazemore has come to LeBron James' defense amid criticism over the Los Angeles Lakers' disappointing season.
"The dude was third in the league in scoring. What else do you want him to do?" Bazemore told TMZ Sports. "He put his body through a lot this year to be there for us."
The 37-year-old James averaged 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in just 56 games. He currently sits second on the NBA's all-time scoring list and is only 1,326 points away from breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record.
"Dude has done a lot," Bazemore said. "He's chasing Kareem. He's done a lot for the game. He's given a platform to a lot of people. He's changing the world."
Bazemore is set to become a free agent, but despite the Lakers' struggles this season, he seems interested in returning to the team.
"What I'll say is nothing ain't much better than being a Laker, right?" he said.
