An off-ice official was stretchered out of the arena Friday during Game 3 between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes after a pane of glass fell into the penalty box on him.
Home fans dislodged the glass by repeatedly hitting it shortly after the Bruins took a 3-1 lead in the second period.

The official was said to be knocked out but regained consciousness as he left the rink. Trainers from both teams immediately tended to him.
"Our thoughts are with the NHL off-ice official who was injured," the Bruins said in a statement. "We are sending him our best wishes."
