Seth: Playing on same team as brother Steph 'not my preferred choice'
Seth Curry had the opportunity to play with Stephen Curry at the start of his NBA career, but these days the Brooklyn Nets sharpshooter would rather compete against his older brother.
"I've thought about it as people bring it up, but to me personally, I enjoy kind of being away from him, trying to create my own path and do my own thing," Seth said during a recent appearance on NBC Sports' "Dubs Talk" with Monte Poole.
"You never know what the future holds. I wouldn't be against it, but it's definitely not my preferred choice to be on the same team as him definitely right now. I also like competing against him and trying to beat the best."
The Curry brothers were briefly teammates on the Warriors in 2013 after Seth went undrafted and signed a non-guaranteed contract with Golden State. The team waived him after he appeared in six preseason games.
The Philadelphia 76ers traded Seth to the Nets in February along with Ben Simmons and Andre Drummond as part of the James Harden deal. The 31-year-old averaged 14.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 19 games with Brooklyn last season.
