Bishop Sycamore football scandal to be focus of HBO documentary 'BS High'
Production is underway at HBO on a documentary about the infamous Bishop Sycamore high school football team.
The network announced Monday that it has begun work on a documentary titled "BS High," chronicling the scandal surrounding Bishop Sycamore. The documentary is scheduled to be released in 2023 and will be directed by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, who won an Academy Award for their 2020 short film "Two Distant Strangers."
Bishop Sycamore made headlines in August 2021 after it was blown out 58-0 by powerhouse IMG Academy in a game nationally televised on ESPN, raising questions about the legitimacy of the Columbus, Ohio-based program.
Bishop Sycamore's former head coach Roy Johnson, who was fired in the wake of the scandal, is among those featured in "BS High."
