Brady shares 'most memorable' TD pass of career
Tom Brady has thrown a lot of memorable touchdowns during his career, but there's one in particular that he puts above the rest.
On Monday's episode of Brady's "Let's Go!" podcast, guest Tracy Morgan asked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback what he considers the greatest touchdown he's ever thrown.
"I'd say the most memorable one was '07 at the Meadowlands, Giants, Week 16," Brady replied.
The touchdown was a 65-yard bomb to Randy Moss in the fourth quarter of the Patriots' 38-35 victory over the Giants, securing a perfect 16-0 regular season for New England. It was Brady's 50th touchdown pass of the year and Moss' 23rd touchdown catch - both new single-season records at the time.
"We get to third down, different play call, but Randy runs behind the defense and (I) threw it about as far as I could," Brady said. "As Brett Favre says, 'I dropped it in there like a butterfly with sore legs.' It literally just (landed) right into Randy's hands and he ran into the end zone for the 50th touchdown pass I threw, which at the time was a record. And Randy (with) 23 touchdowns, which is still a record.
"It was a deep pass, it was a meaningful game, it was a fourth-quarter (touchdown), it broke records. It kind of had everything."
The Patriots and Giants met again later that season in Super Bowl XLII, with New York upsetting New England 17-14.
