Chiefs superfan arrested for armed robbery
A well-known Kansas City Chiefs fan was arrested Friday in Oklahoma, where he's accused of robbing a local bank.
ChiefsAholic - real name Xavier Michael Babudar - is known for wearing a KC Wolf costume while regularly attending Chiefs home and road games. However, Babudar was a no-show for Sunday's game between the Chiefs and Texans despite tweeting to his more than 36,000 followers that he would be making the trip to Houston.
It turns out Babudar was absent because he was arrested Friday morning for armed robbery, according to Max Molski of NBC DFW.
Police in Bixby, Oklahoma, responded to an armed robbery at the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union after an eyewitness gave a description of the suspect and the direction he fled, Emily Farris of 2 News Oklahoma reports. Officers set up a perimeter nearby and arrested the suspect, who had a weapon and a large amount of cash on him.
There were no physical injuries to bank employees or witnesses reported.
Tulsa County arrest records state that Babudar was wearing a mask during the robbery, but it's unknown whether it was the same wolf mask he wears at Chiefs games.
