Seahawks' Metcalf to play in NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf will show off his basketball skills during NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City later this month.
Metcalf was among the participants announced Wednesday for the annual NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Feb. 17. He'll be playing for Team Dwyane Wade, whose roster includes rapper 21 Savage, singer/songwriter Janelle Monae, and actor Simu Liu.
Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Calvin Johnson will also be playing in the game for Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith's team. Their roster includes MLB great Albert Pujols, tennis star Frances Tiafoe, and WWE star The Miz.
Metcalf has touted his basketball ability before, telling NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett last year that he believes he could play in the league and score 10 points in a game.
The 25-year-old finished this past season with 90 catches for 1,048 yards and six touchdowns in 17 games.
