National Treasure beats Blazing Sevens by a nose to win 148th Preakness Stakes
National Treasure dueled with Blazing Sevens during an electric final stretch to win the 148th edition of the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore on Saturday.
National Treasure entered as a second-choice favorite behind Kentucky Derby winner Mage, who finished third.

"The success that I had in other races, not having won this one - it was definitely missing, so special to have it," National Teasure's jockey John Velazquez said, according to The Associated Press.
The Preakness victory is a record-breaking eighth for National Treasure's trainer Bob Baffert, who didn't enter a horse in last year's race due to a suspension.
