Lance Stephenson wants to make NBA comeback with Nets or Knicks
Lance Stephenson is hoping to take his talents to the Big Apple as he eyes a return to the NBA.
The 32-year-old, who most recently turned out for Leones de Ponce of the Puerto Rican league, last played in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers in the 2021-22 season.
"I definitely miss the NBA now that I am playing in Puerto Rico," Stephenson told Tashara Jones of the New York Post. "I did not want to leave. So my goal right now is to get back in there and show them that I am born ready."
Stephenson has zeroed in on two teams for a potential comeback - his hometown Brooklyn Nets or the New York Knicks.
"I think it is time for a New York team. … Either one would do," he said.
The Pacers drafted Stephenson 40th overall in 2010. He had three stints with Indiana and also suited up for the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Lakers, and Atlanta Hawks during his 10-year NBA career.
