Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals will forever be remembered for one infamous move: Allen Iverson stepping over Tyronn Lue after hitting a fadeaway jumper.

The play remains a talking point more than two decades later, but as Lue explained on an episode of "All The Smoke" with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, he isn't bothered by it.

"People make a big deal over it like he crossed me over and I fell down and then he stepped over me," Lue said. "He hit a contested shot and I stepped back and I fell, he stepped over top of me. For me, it wasn't even a big deal. Still to this day, it's not a big deal."

Lue added that Iverson was an idol of his and also credited the Philadelphia 76ers great with changing the culture of the NBA.

"I idolized the dude," Lue said. "So if it's a moment in history, he deserves it."

Iverson spoke about the step-over on a previous episode of "All the Smoke," saying he hates that the moment is still brought up because he loves Lue.

"That moment, yeah it was dope when you look back on it," Iverson said. "But I just don't like it."

Iverson scored 48 points to lead the Sixers to a 107-101 overtime victory in Game 1. However, Lue's Los Angeles Lakers went on to win the series 4-1 and captured their second consecutive championship.
