RGIII suggests Raiders should interview Marshawn Lynch for HC position
ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III has an interesting suggestion for who the Las Vegas Raiders should bring in as their next head coach.
Following the Raiders' firing of Josh McDaniels earlier this week, Griffin floated retired running back Marshawn Lynch's name as a potential replacement.
The suggestion was met with mixed reactions from X users:
Lynch played two seasons for the then-Oakland Raiders following his initial retirement from football in 2016. He last played in the NFL during the 2019 season with the Seattle Seahawks.
The Raiders parted ways with both McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler on Tuesday after a 3-5 start to the season. Linebackers coach Antonio Pierce was named interim head coach, and assistant GM Champ Kelly will serve as interim general manager.
