Yuki Tsunoda: Gearbox Issue in Vegas

Tsunoda finished 18th in the Las Vegas Grand Prix F1 race at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday.

Analysis:

The AlphaTauri youngster went aggressive on tyre strategy since starting in back. Tsunoda would roll off the grid with soft tyres and hope to make up some early spots. He would promote to a surprising P10 by lap 4, but that would be as high as he would get for the evening. A lap 10 pit stop would cycle Tsunoda back to 19th-place where he'd remain much of the evening. His car would develop a gearbox issue late and be forced to retire just 4 laps short of full distance.
