Ohtani reportedly met with a number of his biggest suitors in recent days.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed the team met with Ohtani, calling him Los Angeles' "top priority" and saying the meeting "went well."
Ohtani is believed to have visited the Toronto Blue Jays' spring training complex in Dunedin, Florida, this past Monday. The Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, Chicago Cubs, and San Francisco Giants have also been tied to Ohtani in rumors this winter.
The two-way sensation is expected to ink a record contract in the range of $500 million to $600 million after winning the second unanimous AL MVP of his career in 2023.
