Rajakovic offering Raptors free meal if they win 3 straight
The Toronto Raptors have yet to win more than two games in a row this season, but head coach Darko Rajakovic is hoping to change that with the promise of free dinner.
Rajakovic told reporters Monday that he offered to treat his players and staff to a meal if they go on a three-game winning streak - a proposal Raptors star Pascal Siakam was initially skeptical about.
"That's something I took very to heart, to be honest with you," Rajakovic said. "When I announced that, Pascal said, 'Yeah, the team is gonna pay for that.' He thinks I'm cheap, and that's not true."
Siakam acknowledged during his media availability Monday that the Raptors' inability to win multiple games in a sore spot for the team.
"We gotta (win) games in a row. I think that's just what it is," he said. "Good teams have those streaks of just good games where they win games in a row, and I think that's what's missing for us."
The Raptors sit 11th in the Eastern Conference standings at 9-11.
