Snoop Dogg to serve as special correspondent for NBC at 2024 Olympics
Snoop Dogg is heading to the Summer Olympics.
NBC announced Sunday that the rapper will serve as a special correspondent for the network during its prime-time coverage of the 2024 Paris Games, which will take place from July 26 to Aug. 11.
As part of his role, Snoop will visit Paris landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and meet up with athletes, their friends, and families, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Kimberly Nordyke.
"I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It's a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness," Snoop said in a statement. "We're going to have some amazing competitions, and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It's going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked."
Snoop is no stranger to Olympic commentary, as he went viral for his take on the dressage competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
This year will mark the third time Paris has hosted the Olympics after having previously done so in 1900 and 1924.
