After taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, the Blues collapsed after the break as Brentford stormed back in the second half against Mauricio Pochettino's struggling squad.
Wissa followed Mads Roerslev's equalizer with a powerful overhead kick in the 69th minute that looked like it would decide the contest. But Pochettino's men persevered after Axel Disasi's header in the 83rd minute helped Chelsea avoid a costly defeat.
