Luke Combs rips Panthers for Burns trade: It's becoming 'slow torture'
Country music star Luke Combs isn't happy with the current state of the Carolina Panthers.
After news broke Monday that the Panthers were trading pass-rusher Brian Burns to the New York Giants, Combs tweeted to let out his frustration with the organization.
.@Panthers WHAT ARE WE DOING?!?!? No first round pick for McCaffrey a few years back and now none for Burns?!?! Are we just fire bombing the whole team here or what? I usually don’t comment on these kinds of things but it’s just becoming slow torture at this point.

The Panthers received a second-round pick in this year's draft along with a 2025 fifth-rounder in exchange for Burns, who agreed to a five-year extension with the Giants as part of the deal.
Burns recorded 46 sacks, 59 tackles for loss, and 95 quarterback hits in 80 games over the past five seasons with the Panthers, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2021 and 2022.
