Andriy Shevchenko makes professional golf debut

Former AC Milan star and 2004 Ballon d'Or winner Andriy Shevchenko took his first shot at professional golf on Thursday, participating in the Kharkov Superior Cup in Ukraine.

Despite the tournament only being a Challenge Tour event - which is the second tier of professional European golf - the Ukrainian legend struggled, shooting a 12-over 84, according to Yahoo! Sports.

The 36-year-old bogied eight holes on the front nine, and will have to put in some long hours if he hopes to fulfill his goal of playing at the Olympics one day.
