Adam Sandler 'would love' to cast Tiger Woods in 'Happy Gilmore 2'
Tiger Woods may have a role waiting for him in the "Happy Gilmore" sequel.
Adam Sandler, who starred as the titular character in the original 1996 golf comedy, expressed interest in casting Woods in "Happy Gilmore 2" during an appearance on "The Dan Patrick Show" on Monday.
"I would love it. We'll see," Sandler said when asked if Woods would be in the sequel. "I'm gonna write all my dreams and then you never know what's gonna happen."
Sandler also hinted at John Daly possibly appearing in the movie.
"I would like to think so," Sandler said. "You never know, but I love him."
Netflix recently announced that it has greenlit "Happy Gilmore 2," with Sandler reprising his role as Gilmore. Sandler told Patrick that the plot will likely revolve around him "being a little older now and still trying to compete with the youngsters."
The original "Happy Gilmore" featured cameos by pro golfer Lee Trevino and longtime sports broadcaster Verne Lundquist.
