MLB players weigh in on Cowboys' Parsons saying he'd hit .200

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons raised eyebrows when he said he could hit around .200 if given five at-bats per contest over 162 games.

A handful of MLB players weighed in, disagreeing with Parsons' claim.

"Micah, you are a phenomenal athlete, top tier," Dodgers star Mookie Betts said, according to Bleacher Report. "No chance you can hit between .180 and .200. You can do a lot of things, and a lot of things successfully. But hitting a baseball is not one of 'em."

Betts' teammate Tyler Glasnow laughed when told about Parsons' bold proclamation.

"If he had 500 at-bats? Five hits," Glasnow told Jomboy Media's Chris Rose. "I think once he steps in and sees a big-league (pitcher), he'd be like, 'Never mind.' You know what I mean?"

Texas Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien was more confident in Parsons' ability, saying he believes the 25-year-old could rack up more than five hits if given 500 at-bats.

"Nah, I think he'd get more than that," Semien told Betts.

Parsons is one of the premier pass-rushers in the NFL. The three-time All-Pro has 40.5 sacks through his first three seasons.
