X map shows more fans rooting for WNBA All-Stars than Team USA
The WNBA All-Stars appear to have the edge in fan support over the U.S. Olympic team for this year's All-Star Game.
A map created by Betonline.ag based on geotagged X data gathered in the last week, including over 110,000 tweets, shows the WNBA All-Stars are the more popular squad with 29 states favoring them to win the game, compared to 21 states backing Team USA.
The WNBA team is headlined by college rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, both of whom ranked among the top five All-Star vote-getters from fans. Team USA features A'ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and others who'll be vying for an eighth consecutive gold medal at the Paris Olympics later this month.
The All-Star festivities get underway Friday with a three-point contest and skills challenge, followed by the All-Star Game on Saturday night at the Footprint Center in Phoenix.
