Jordan's Chicago mansion finds buyer after 12 years on market
Michael Jordan's former Chicago mansion may finally be off the market.
The 56,000-square-foot property in Highland Park, which was built between 1993 and 1995 and had been up for sale since 2012, went under contract Sunday, according to CBS Chicago. It features nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a regulation-sized basketball court, a putting green, and a cigar room.
The home was originally listed at $29 million but was recently reduced to $14.855 million. When added, the sum of those digits equals 23 - Jordan's jersey number with the Bulls.
Jordan played for the Bulls from 1984-1993 and 1995-98, helping lead the franchise to six NBA championships.
The 61-year-old currently resides in Jupiter, Florida, on a property located in golf legend Jack Nicklaus' exclusive Bears Club community.
