X map shows Padres have most fan support in MLB wild-card round

The San Diego Padres appear to be the early fan favorites in this year's MLB postseason.

A map created by Betonline.ag based on geotagged X data gathered since Sunday, including over 180,000 tweets containing official fan hashtags, shows the Padres have a slight edge in fan support over the rest of the playoff teams with seven states rooting for them to win.

The Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves are tied for second with six states, while the Cleveland Guardians, Milwaukee Brewers, Kansas City Royals, and Los Angeles Dodgers are each favored in five states.

The Padres won Game 1 of their NL wild-card series on Tuesday, defeating the Braves 4-0.
