Former Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala doesn't think he was the most deserving candidate for the 2015 NBA Finals MVP award.
Iguodala, who retired from the NBA in 2023 after 19 seasons, admitted during a recent appearance on Kai Cenat's Twitch stream that he still wonders why he received the award over his then-teammate Stephen Curry.
"I don't know why they gave it to me," Iguodala said. "They supposed to give it to Steph."

Iguodala and the Warriors defeated the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in six games to win the 2015 championship. Iguodala averaged 16.3 points, 4.0 assists, and 5.8 rebounds in the series, but it was largely his defense on James that earned him Finals MVP.
Curry won his first Finals MVP award in 2022 after the Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics to capture their fourth title in eight years.
