Steph: Warriors are 'very mid right now'
Stephen Curry hasn't lost faith in the Golden State Warriors, but he admits they're playing like a mediocre team.
"Like the kids say, we're very mid right now. Just very average," Curry said after a 113-95 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, per 95.7 The Game. "I think we understand that better days can be ahead, you're not in that big of a hole in the Western Conference, if you look at the standings. You go on a five, six-game run - to us that sounds like a lot, but ... you can make up a lot of ground pretty quickly.
"It's a tough task, but that fine line between losing hope and confidence and understanding one good week, you're kind of back in it, that's where we are."
The Warriors moved to 16-16 with Monday's loss and have now dropped seven of their last 10 games after starting the season 12-3. They currently sit 10th in the Western Conference standings, 10.5 games back of the first-place Oklahoma City Thunder.
Curry is averaging 22 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds through 26 games.
