Saquon trolls Giants' Mara in sleep-aid commercial
One of New York Giants co-owner John Mara's old quotes is coming back to haunt him in a new ad starring Saquon Barkley.
The former Giants running back trolled Mara in a commercial for the sleep-aid brand Unisom, referencing his viral moment from "Hard Knocks: Offseason with the New York Giants" when he said he'd "have a tough time sleeping" if Barkley joined the Philadelphia Eagles.
Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75-million deal with the Eagles in March 2024 after spending the first six seasons of his NFL career in New York. He sits fourth on the Giants' all-time rushing leaders list with 5,211 yards.
Barkley has rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, both of which are career highs for the 27-year-old. He also became a division champion for the first time in his career, as the Eagles clinched the NFC East title with a win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17.
The Eagles will wrap up the regular season Sunday against the Giants, who sit in last place in the NFC at 3-13.
