X map shows most of U.S. backing Duke men, UConn women in NCAA tourneys
The top-seeded teams in this year's NCAA Tournaments appear to be fan favorites heading into the first round.
Geotagged X data gathered since Selection Sunday shows No. 1 Duke is the overwhelming favorite on the men's side with 19 states predicting a championship win for the Blue Devils. BetOnline.ag created a corresponding map based on over 290,000 March Madness-related tweets.
No. 1 Florida was the second-most popular pick with nine states, followed by fellow 1-seed Houston, with four states.
