Eagles supporter rips Pennsylvania mayor for being Cowboys fan
A Philadelphia-area mayor was put on blast over his allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys at a recent council meeting.
A resident of Upper Darby Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, took the podium during the meeting to voice his frustration with mayor Ed Brown and question why his fellow townspeople would elect a Cowboys fan.
"This is what happens, guys - residents of Upper Darby Township - when you elect a Cowboys fan to your government," the man said. "Twenty-nine years of losing for this team. What do you expect from the leadership?
"This is a Cowboys fan. This guy follows the Cowboys. You see what type of leadership they have, and that's what you put your trust in? Cowboys fan. Sickening."
The Cowboys went 7-10 last season and missed the playoffs.
The Eagles, meanwhile, finished first in the NFC East at 14-3 and defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX to win the franchise's second Lombardi Trophy.
