Luka Doncic is disappointed in the way Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison has been speaking of him since trading him to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis.

"It's just sad the way he's talking right now," Doncic said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "I never say anything bad about him, and I just want to move on. The fans, my ex-teammates, I'll always keep at heart. It's time for me to move on from there."

Earlier this week, Harrison said he had "no regrets" about the trade and justified it by alluding to Luka's defensive struggles.

The Mavs reportedly had "constant conditioning concerns" about Doncic, as well as worries about a "lack of discipline regarding his diet."

However, Doncic is more focused on moving forward than addressing the criticism.

"I mean, it's painful, depending on how you take it," Doncic said. "It mostly came from Dallas, so I didn't want to talk back. But I don't really read that much stuff. I'm just trying to focus on my journey."

Doncic said he felt heartbroken when he was moved but added that he's now "getting used to" L.A.

Although Doncic said he wanted to spend his entire career with the Mavericks, he now hopes to remain with the Lakers.

L.A. begins its first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.
