Travis Hunter will have his father by his side for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Hunter's dad, Travis Hunter Sr., was granted permission by the courts to travel from West Palm Beach, Florida, to Green Bay for the draft, Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post reports, citing court documents. Hunter Sr. will be restricted to his hotel grounds and Lambeau Field for his stay, which will run from Wednesday to Friday.

The elder Hunter, 39, was sentenced to 90 days in jail in September 2024 in connection with his 2023 arrest on gun and drug charges. He was released before December's Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York, where his son won the award, but couldn't attend the event. Hunter Sr.'s been ordered to complete the first year of his three-year probation period under home confinement.

"I want to say something to my father. He's not here and wasn't able to make it but I know you're watching on TV," the Colorado two-way star said during his acceptance speech. "Dad, I love you. For all the stuff you went through, man, now look at your oldest son. I did it for you, man."

The first round of the draft will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. ET at Lambeau Field. Hunter is widely projected to be a top-five pick.
