Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson recently said goodbye to his beloved English bulldog, Rocco.
Thompson's father, Mychal, revealed Wednesday on ESPN 710's "Mason & Ireland" show that Rocco died at the age of 13.
"We had to put Rocco, Klay's dog, down over the weekend," Mychal said, later adding, "We're all sad, but Rocco had a great, long life."
Rocco rose to fame during Klay's time with the Golden State Warriors and had his own Instagram account documenting his adventures. Klay even created an Anta shoe in Rocco's honor.
Klay spent 13 years with the Warriors before being traded to the Mavs last summer. The four-time NBA champion averaged 14 points, 3.4 rebounds, and two assists in 72 games this season.
