Collin Morikawa: Battles bad back for T7 result
Morikawa (back) closed with a four-under 68 on Sunday to finish in a tie for seventh place at The Masters.
Analysis:
Morikawa was questionable to even play in The Masters after the back injury suffered at THE PLAYERS Championship last month. His ball speed was noticeably down all week and on several occasions he looked to be in discomfort, but he grinded it out and played some very good golf on the weekend. Morikawa now has finished top 20 in six consecutive Masters Tournaments. It feels like one day it will be his time. First things first is getting 100 percent over this injury. Morikawa is listed in the field for the RBC Heritage next week, so we'll see how he holds up playing back-to-back weeks.
