Bryson DeChambeau: Misses cut at PGA Championship

Rotowire3 days ago

DeChambeau posted a seven-over cumulative score over the first two rounds of the PGA Championship to miss the cut by three strokes.

Analysis:

DeChambeau put himself in a hole after posting a six-over 76 in the opening round at Aronimink Golf Club. He wasn't much better in the second round Friday, and while he ended the day with three-straight birdies from holes 16 to 18 to finish with a one-over 71 score, it wasn't enough for the two-time major champion to qualify for the weekend. DeChambeau has missed the cut in each of the first two majors of the season and has failed to make it to the weekend in three of his last four major tournaments, with his T10 at The Open Championship last year being the exception. The next time he'll tee off will be May 28 at LIV Golf Korea, the first of two LIV tournaments before the U.S. Open Championship on June 18 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.
