Analysis:
Hovland put himself in a hole early with four bogeys over the first eight holes of the first round, and he was unable to score even-par in the second round to qualify for the weekend. It was the first time in his career that Hovland missed the cut at the PGA Championship. It was also his second MC of 2026 (in 11 tournaments), though Hovland has cracked the top-10 just once this season at the WM Phoenix Open in early February. He's not listed in the field for the Byron Nelson next week.
