Niemann posted a 12-under cumulative score at LIV Golf Korea and won the tournament after beating Talor Gooch on the first playoff hole.
Analysis:
Niemann and Gooch entered Sunday tied at the top of the leaderboard after both went nine-under through the first three rounds. Niemann took charge early by carding four birdies over the first eight holes but went one-over across the last 10, allowing Gooch to catch up after the latter carded a birdie on the par-3 16th. Niemann propelled himself to the win on the first playoff hole after his approach shot landed within four feet of the hole, leading to a short birdie putt to outlast Gooch in Korea. It was the eighth LIV Golf victory of Niemann's career but his first of the 2026 season. The win has the Torque GC captain third on the LIV Golf individual season standings with 334.86 points behind Jon Rahm (815.58) and Bryson DeChambeau (626.90). LIV Golf Andalucia is next week, where Niemann finished T6 in 2024 and T23 last year.
