Dustin Johnson: Weekend surge to solo fourth

Rotowire10 hours ago

Johnson posted a 10-under cumulative score at LIV Golf Korea to finish solo fourth.

Analysis:

Johnson opened the tournament with back-to-back even rounds before ascending the leaderboard with a bogey-free, six-under 64 score Saturday. The 4Aces GC captain followed that up with a bogey-free, four-under 66 in the final round to finish two shots back of Joaquin Niemann and Talor Gooch, with the former emerging victorious after the first playoff hole. It was the first top-5 finish of the 2026 LIV Golf season for Johnson, who also had solid outings at The Masters (T33) and the PGA Championship (T44). He'll tee off at LIV Golf Andalucia next week, where he finished T7 in 2025. Andalucia will serve as his tune-up event for the U.S. Open, which he won in a playoff against Jordan Spieth 2016 when the major was held at Oakmont Country Club.
