Brian Harman: MC after double bogey on 36th hole

Rotowire11 hours ago

Harman missed the cut at the Memorial Tournament by one stroke after posting scores of 76-74.

Analysis:

Most of Harman's misfortunes happened on the back nine, particularly in the first round, when he went six-over over the final five holes that included double bogeys on the 14th and 16th. He was even-par through 17 holes in the second round and was on track to make the five-over cut line, but disaster struck on the 18th after his tee shot found the water, resulting in a double bogey to end his tournament. It was the third missed cut of the 2026 season for Harman but his first since the WM Phoenix Open in early February. He'll have two weeks to prepare for the U.S. Open, where he finished T59 last year and T36 in 2018, which was the last time that the major was hosted at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.
