The Angels transferred Moncada (knee) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Monday.
Analysis:
The move opens a spot on the Angels' 40-man roster for Trey Mancini, whose contract was selected from Triple-A Salt Lake. Moncada landed on the 10-day IL in late May due to a right knee inflammation, and he's only recently progressed to running and hitting off a tee. Now that he's on the 60-day IL, Moncada won't be eligible to return to the Angels until shortly after the All-Star break.
