The Nationals recalled Yean from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday.
Analysis:The right-hander received his first promotion to the majors July 5 and made his debut that day versus Pittsburgh, firing two scoreless frames before returning to Rochester. Yean has pitched to a 3.35 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 47:20 K:BB across 43 innings for Rochester this year, and it may not take much for him to stick around Washington's bullpen given the immense struggles the unit has gone through this year.
